A fun boutique hotel in Antigua was exactly what we needed.
We arrived tired from a long day of traveling. Antigua’s heat in June can get to the high 80s, and I was definitely ready for some air conditioning.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. They met us at the door with a cold towel and a refreshing beverage and quickly checked us in. Instantly, any stress I had from travel melted away as I took in the breathtaking view. The stylish hotel’s main building and one of its restaurants are perched up on a hill. You don’t want to walk it—it’s pretty steep. However, that hill, although a bit cumbersome, is part of the charm. It gives guests an amazing view of the harbour, beach, and the stunning blue ocean.
Soon after, the stylish hotel shuttle drove us around to our Jr Suite—and my jaw dropped! Their entry-level category is absolutely stunning. It features an enormous balcony with high-quality furniture outside. Inside, there’s a cozy sitting area and a beautiful four-poster bed. In the bathroom, the towels and bathrobe are Frette—such a luxurious touch.
What truly stands out here is the quality. This stylish hotel caters to travelers who appreciate thoughtful design, fine details, and expert craftsmanship. Moreover, with fewer than 30 rooms, it offers a peaceful, intimate retreat. The level of service is exceptional—we never once felt like just another guest. Every interaction felt personal, and the attention to detail was fantastic.
When it comes to things to do, start with the beach—its soft white sand and clear turquoise water are nothing short of therapeutic. In addition, the Inn, a fun boutique hotel in Antigua, has a boat you can use as a water taxi to reach English Harbour. That area comes alive during the high season, filled with energy, music, and vibrant crowds (though in the summer months, many places close down). Antigua hosts several boat festivals throughout the year, attracting yachts from around the world. As a result, the buzz, the shops, the waterfront restaurants, and the lively atmosphere make English Harbour well worth visiting.
Of course, you could stay in that area—but I wanted a beach.
Throughout our stay, we enjoyed several meals at the Inn—and every one of them was delightful. I was able to get room service, sip amazing wine, and enjoy WiFi right in my room. Beyond that, the Inn features a massage room, library, gym, and plenty of charming little sitting areas. Most impressive, though, were the framed photos of past guests—if it’s good enough for the Prince of Monaco, it is good enough for me!
